Peskov says Kremlin welcomes RDIF’s investment in Telegram
MOSCOW, Mar 24 (PRIME) -- The Kremlin welcomes any successful investment that brings return, President Vladimir Putin’s press secretary Dmitry Peskov told reporters on Wednesday about participation of the Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF) in messenger Telegram.
“One can welcome any good investment that brings money under the current laws,” Peskov said.
“They have a maneuver, independent in investment, besides, they have joint investment platforms for co-investing with foreign partners in different countries, this is why many processes pass there automatically.”
RDIF told PRIME that the fund acquired on Tuesday a minor part in Mubadala Investment Company’s holding of Telegram’s bonds under the Russia–United Arab Emirates investment platform.
